Dorothy Rivera

RIVERA, Dorothy, 68 of Tampa, passed away on June 9, 2013. Mrs. Rivera formerly of NY came to the Tampa bay area in 1988. Mrs. Rivera worked as a licensed hair dresser for many years and loved her clients and the people she worked with very much. She was a long time recovering alcoholic of 36 years. She worked as a building maintenance woman and years ago worked at the local IHOP in Tampa. She is survived by her beloved husband of 36 years, Jose Rivera, sons, Jamie and wife (Vanny), Joseph and Jesse Rivera, two brothers, George and Lou Smith and three cherished grandchildren. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Salvation Army. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 12, 2013 from 10-12 with a service at 12pm at Segal Funeral Home, 3909 Henderson Blvd, Tampa with burial to follow at Gan Shalom Cemetery.
