Doris Morris

Doris Morris, age 89, of Gainesville died Wednesday, September 8, 2010. Mrs. Morris was born in Stratford, Connecticut, lived in Newark, NJ and Wachula, FL before coming to Tampa where she lived for most of her life. She attended the Tampa Business University and was the office manager of Florida Iron & Metal Company working with her husband, Louis. She was a member of Congregation Rodeph Sholom. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 67 years, Louis. Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Peggy & Thomas Higgs of Shippensburg, PA, son and daughter-in-law, Judge Stan and Chris Morris of Gainesville; four cherished grandchildren, Scott Nelson, Eileen Nelson, Jessica Ires Morris and Whitney Leigh Morris and great-grandsons, Douglas & Brandon Nelson. Graveside services will be held Monday, 10:00 AM at Myrtle Hill Memorial Park, Tampa.
