Donald Peeples

80, passed away August 30, 2015. He was born April 10, 1935, in San Angelo, TX. He was preceded in death by his parents Oscar Peeples and Edith Barlow Peeples. He is survived by his loving wife of 31 years, Tannia, his brother Michael (San Angelo, TX), daughters Leslie (Oviedo, FL) and Lisa (Ellijay, GA) and five grandchildren. With Don at the time of his death were Tannia and his devoted team of caregivers, Jose, Amy, Johanna, Isaura, Omahara and Oribel who cared for him with great devotion for four years. After 37 years, Don retired in 1992 as Vice President, Information Technology for GTE Telephone Operations (now Verizon) in Dallas, TX. Prior to moving to Dallas, Don served as President as GTE Data Services and was responsible for the development of the corporate facilities located in Temple Terrace, FL. Although retired, his insatiable quest for knowledge and learning continued. He enjoyed spending time in Colorado and and traveling internationally. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, September 16, 2015, with visitation one hour prior at Holy Innocents Episcopal Church, 604 N. Valrico Road, Valrico, FL. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
