Dena Weatherman

Weatherman, Dena, age 50 of Odessa, died Tuesday November 10, 2009 following a courageous 16-year battle with breast cancer. Dena was born in New York and came to the Tampa area over 25 years ago. She loved being a Mary Kay consultant and was employed at the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office where she was proud to serve as vice president of the Lynn Sowers Foundation in memory of her beloved friend, Lynn. She was preceded in death by her parents, Murray & Marilyn Held, and her sister, Pamela Wagner. Survivors include her loving husband of 16 years, Wade Weatherman III; cherished children Jessica & Wade Weatherman IV; devoted brothers and sisters-in-law Steven & Mary Held of NY and Brian & Robin Held of KY; brothers-in-law, Gary Wagner and Billy Weatherman; sister-in-law Linda Weatherman; mother-in-law and father-in-law Wade Jr. and Tilly Weatherman; and her niece Kerry (Rob) Gitto. The family wishes to thank, Sherry Lonsbury, Ken Endicott of H.C. United, Will Hand of Keystone Little League, Kathy Brady, and their wonderful neighbors for their friendship, care and support. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Lynn Sowers Memorial Foundation, 1319 W. Fletcher Ave., Tampa, FL. 33612 or H. Lee Moffitt Cancer Center. Private services will be held.
