Commander Foster

Commander Arthur C. Foster, age 83 of Plant City died November 10, 2015 in Tampa. Commander Foster was born in St. Louis, MO and came to Florida 30 years ago from Hawaii upon retirement from the U.S. Coast Guard. He was preceded in death by the mother of his children, Betty Foster. Survivors include his sons and daughters-in-law, Nelson & Karen Foster of Wake Forest, NC, and David & Kat Foster of Houston, TX, seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren. In his final days he expressed, "I traveled a long and wonderful road and almost made it up that last hill. But my children will continue the journey and take a part of me with them." Private services will be held. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Hillel House, 1640 Rhode Island Avenue N.W., Washington, DC 20036.
