Clarice Steinberg

STEINBERG, Clarice, 94, passed away peacefully August 6, 2008. A native of Tampa and a Plant High graduate, she is survived by a sister, Beady Stern (David) of Tuscon, AZ, her devoted niece, Barbara Jane "B.J." Wilson of Tallahassee, FL., many cousins and dear friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Oscar and Deborah Steinberg and her sister, Florence Weil. Her's was a pioneer family that established Steinberg's on 7th Avenue in Ybor City. The building still displays the name. Clarice was an outstanding executive secretary also known for her wonderful sense of humor. She retired from the Tampa Tribune after 26 years. At her request, there will be no formal service.
