ALTER, Charles died on May 27, 2015;he was born on November 24, 1924 as a second generation of European emigrants, he lived through the great depression of 1929. Charlie was a loving son to his parents, Sol and Esther and a loving brother to his sister, Natalie Bernstein. He served as an officer in the US Air Force in the South Pacific during WWII. Upon returning home from the war, he took advantage of the GI Bill and graduated from New York University with a degree in accounting. While attending NYU, he met his beloved wife of 54 years, Vivian. They were married in 1949 until her death in 2003. In 1952, they moved to Tampa to be among his family. He is survived by children, Sally and Bob Schultz, Mitchell Alter, his grandchildren, Alyssa Alter Morschauser (Michael), Erin Renee Koepf (Chris), Lorielle Alter (David Rosen), Benjamin Schultz (Veronica) and his great grandchildren Lillian Morschauser and Anne Koepf. Funeral Service will be held 11:30am on Sun., May 31st at Congregation Beth AM, 2030 W. Fletcher Ave Tampa, FL.
