Cassie Tipps

TIPPS, Cassie S., age 88 of Brandon died on July 30, 2012 at the Carrollwood Care Center. She was a 1941 graduate of Era High School in Era, TX and a 1962 graduate of University of Tampa. She was a teacher in the Hillsborough County School System for 20 years. She was a long standing member of the First Baptist Church of Brandon. She was well loved by everyone and her smile was infectious. She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy and her son, Terry. Survivors include her sons: Don & (Cheryl) of Englewood, FL, Gary & (Adrienne) of Tampa and Tim of Tampa, five grandchildren, Peyton Woodroffe, Amy Lee, Alex, Clinton, Athena and many great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, August 2, 2012 at 11:00 AM with a viewing from 10:30 to 11:00 at the First Baptist Church of Brandon, 216 N. Parsons Avenue with Pastor Dr. J. Thomas Green officiating and the burial will follow at 2:00pm at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Lifepath Hospice.
