Carly Rose Friedman, a spirited soul known for her adventurous heart and her equally adventurous life, passed away on April 5, 2024, in her hometown of Tampa, FL, at the age of 25. Born on May 26, 1998, to Karen and Scott Friedman, Carly’s vibrant spirit and infectious enthusiasm for life were evident from a young age. She grew up alongside her beloved brother Chance, with whom she shared an unbreakable bond and countless cherished memories.
Carly’s passion for the ocean was more than just a pastime; it was her life’s calling. As a licensed boat captain, she navigated the waters with a sense of purpose and mastery that few could match. Carly’s talents extended beneath the waves, where she was renowned as an incredible underwater hunter and spearfishing instructor. Her love for the water was profound and unwavering, and there was truly nothing she adored more than the tranquility and adventure that it provided.
Those who knew Carly admired her for her strength and courage. She was often described as “the strongest woman“ yet there was a gentle side to her that those closest to her knew well.
The legacy Carly leaves behind is one of inspiration and love. She was dearly loved by her family, friends, and all who had the privilege of being a part of her world. Her mother, Karen, and father Scott, along with her brother Chance, will hold Carly’s spirit in their hearts forever.
Carly‘s journey may have come to an end, but the ripples of her life will continue to be felt by all those who love her.
She showed us that life is an adventure to be embraced. That strength comes in many forms, and that the pursuit of one’s passions is amongst the most noble of endeavors.
Carly‘s memory will forever be cherished as a guiding light for those who seek to live boldly and love deeply. As the sun sets on her time with us, we take solace in knowing that Carly’s spirit will continue to shine brightly, guiding us through the waters of life, just as she once navigated the seas she so dearly loved.
