Carlos Juan Camacho Jr

Carlos Juan Camacho Jr. nació en Guanica, Puerto Rico Junio 09, 1950. Sus padres fueron Guillermina Arena y Carlos Camacho Sr. Carlos es sobrevivido por su esposa Esther Nieves de 30+ años, sus hermanas, cuñados, sobrinos, hijos y nietos. Retirado por más de 10 años, disfrutaba de la playa, de las transmisiones de radio, promoviendo música de salsa en la Bahía de Tampa y de su perrita Trixie.

Vivió parte de su vida en la gran ciudad de Nueva York donde trabajó de impresor en las famosas Torres Gemelas. Encontró la oportunidad de ser dueño del famoso Red Plum, sala de eventos y donde llevó a muchos salseros, incluyendo a Hector Lavoe y Johnny Ventura. Regresó a Puerto Rico y empezó su compañía de sonido donde le hizo música a los grandes salseros como el Gran Combo de Puerto Rico y fue sonidista del ex-Alcalde de Bayamón (Ramon Luis Rivera Padre) y candidatos a Gobernación del PNP. Produjo el primer camión de sonido conocido como el “Come Pava”.

Fue técnico electrónico y especialista en alarmas y al mismo tiempo siguió su sueño de tener una radio estación, el cual logró difundir por varios años.

Fue una persona emprendedora,  impulsadora, cariñosa, compasiva, generosa, bondadosa y a la vez con temperamento fuerte, con pocos pero buenos amigos.

Siempre donó al Hospital St. Jude en beneficio de los niños. Por favor, si deseas enviar flores, la familia pide que haga una donación a St. Jude en memoria de su nombre. 

Su legado y su buen ejemplo será una inspiración para futuras generaciones y nunca será olvidado.

Esperamos que te encuentres con tus queridos padres y que tengan una gran fiesta juntos en el cielo. Descansa en paz.

Carlos Juan Camacho Jr. was born in Guanica, Puerto Rico on June 9, 1950. His parents were Guillermina Arena and Carlos Camacho Sr, Carlos is survived by his wife Esther Nieves of 30+ years, his sisters, brothers-in-law, nephews, nieces, children, and grandchildren. After having retired for the past 10+ years, he enjoyed the beach, radio transmissions, promoting salsa music in the Tampa Bay area, and his dog Trixie.

He lived part of his life in the great city of New York where he worked as a printer in the famous Twin Towers. He had the opportunity to be come the owner of the famous Red Plum Event Hall where he brought many Salsa stars including Hector Lavoe and Johnny Ventura. He returned to Puerto Rico and begun his Production company where he was the sound technician for great salsa musicians like the Gran Combo from Puerto Rico and for the ex-mayor of Bayamón (Ramon Luis Rivera Padre) and for gubernatorial candidates of the PNP party. He made the first sound truck known as the “Come Pava”.

He was an electrical technician and an alarms specialist and at the same time he followed his dream of having his own radio station, which he successfully broadcast for several years.

He was a strong-willed and independent person who was also caring, compassionate, and generous. A kind individual who sometimes had a strong temperament and had a small tight knit group of friends.

He always donated to the St. Jude Children's Hospital. If you feel inclined to send flowers to the family, the family requests that you instead donate to St.Jude Children's hospital in his honor.

His legacy and good deeds will inspire future generations and never be forgotten.

We hope that you meet with your beloved parents and have a party in heaven with them. Rest in peace.
