Brian Louis Pearlman

Brian Louis Pearlman, 59, passed away on Sunday, July 21, 2024. Family was the cornerstone of Brian's life, and he lived each day devoted to their happiness. He was a cherished husband to his beloved wife, Julie; a devoted father to their children, Erin (Josh) and Adam (Austin); and a proud grandfather to Jacob. He was a caring son to his parents, survived by Nathan and predeceased by Pennie, and a supportive brother to Keith (Ellen) and David (Deborah). Brian also loved being an uncle and cousin to the large Pearlman and Klayman families that have filled our lives with love and laughter.

Brian and Julie met at the University of Tennessee and had a true love story. They met the first two weeks of college and would have celebrated 40 years together this August. They were best friends, confidants, and soulmates. Side by side, always holding hands, they built an incredible life and community in Tampa to raise their two children and welcome their first grandchild.

Brian’s commitment to his kids was unwavering. He was the loudest person in the stands at Erin’s cheerleading events and Adam’s wrestling matches. He never missed one of their activities and still had time to play rec softball with Julie, Sunday basketball with the guys, and golf with many. He also loved watching, tailgating, and attending all of Tampa’s professional sports teams with his friends. Brian and Julie’s joint network of friends is extensive, developed over decades through their synagogue chavurah, neighborhood, and children.

Beyond his family, his genuine concern for others' well-being turned colleagues and clients into partners and friends. Brian found fulfillment in his professional pursuits where his integrity and dedication shined bright. He worked tirelessly to help and support everyone in his reach, including various community causes. He offered his time, expertise, and leadership to numerous committees and boards creating a meaningful impact for countless individuals and families.

While Brian’s life was cut far too short by head and neck cancer, he did not make it easy for the cancer to win. It put his priorities into perspective, bringing his family even closer together and giving him and Julie the opportunity to travel the world. He put up quite the fight and far exceeded doctor’s expectations. Brian's life was a testament to the power of love, family, and friends. He will be deeply missed and fondly remembered.

Brian's passing leaves a void in the hearts of his family, friends, and community. His warmth and kindness extended to all who knew him, and his spirit will continue to inspire those who had the privilege of knowing him. His legacy of love, kindness, and selflessness will live on in the memories of all who were touched by his remarkable life.

A funeral service to celebrate Brian's life will be held on Tuesday, July 23, 2024, 10:00 AM at Congregation Kol Ami. Interment will immediately follow at Gan Shalom Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his honor to Congregation Kol Ami, Florida Cancer Specialists, Moffit Cancer Center, or a local organization of your choosing.

May his memory forever be a blessing. We love and miss you, Brian.
