Betty Polanco

Betty Polanco, age 84 of Miami, died Monday, May 9, 2011 in Tampa. Mrs. Polanco was born in Isle of Pines, Cuba and immigrated to the United States with her family in 1945. She resided in Miami for over 65 years before coming to Tampa recently. Betty and her husband Nick were visionary entrepreneurs of Latin food products and owned Polanco Wine Distributors and N. Polanco, Inc.

Survivors include her beloved husband of 65 years, Nick Polanco; sons and daughters in-law Bobby and Laurie Polanco, of Raleigh, NC, and Eddy and Blanca Polanco of Miami, FL; daughter and son-in-law Susan and Albert Waksman, of Tampa, FL; grandchildren Nick, Amber and Vinny; sister and brother-in-law Sara and Harvey Stahl and numerous nieces and nephews.
