Beatrice Miller Hulse

February 12, 1931 — July 27, 2024

Tampa, Florida

Beatrice Miller Hulse was born in Canton, Ohio and spent most of her early years living in the surrounding environs, enjoying the beauty of the changing seasons in that area of the country. Having been born during the time of the Great Depression, she learned to appreciate the simpler things of life, a characteristic which she carried throughout all of her life, even though she later was afforded many luxuries and opportunities only dreamed of at an early age. While living in Ohio she attended Ohio State University where she met and married her husband, Howard Hulse. She later was employed in a secretarial position at the Sterling China Company in East Liverpool, Ohio and in the Industrial Relations Department of Ford Motor Company in Canton, Ohio and held a position in the Accounting Department at Ford Motor Company. Upon moving to Lakeland, Florida in 1959 she continued her education at Florida Southern College and upon graduation was employed as an Elementary School Teacher of 1st and 2nd grade pupils in the Polk County School system for over 20 years. For her, as well as all of us, life had its ups and downs, rewards and disappointments. Through it all, her saving grace was her faith in the Almighty instilled in her by her Godly Mother. She was especially grateful also for a Father who implemented in her the importance of higher education as well as her Sister, Frances who gave new meaning to life itself. Her Daughter, Jennifer has been one of the greatest blessings God has given her and her thoughtful and caring Granddaughter, Stacy, has been a real delight to her in her later years. A most precious gift! She is also survived by her two Great Grandchildren, Millie and Mollie June who she was fortunate enough to share so many wonderful memories with during her later years. The kindness extended to her by her brother-in-law, James Riggs and her son-in-law, Phillip Stutts as well as many others who crossed her path were greatly appreciated. Her hope is that all who knew her would remember her kindly and now rejoice in knowing she is now in her heavenly home.
