Barbara R Askin

Barbara Post-Askin 92 passed away August 19, 2023 in Clearwater, FL.
Barbara is survived by her beloved family including children Marc,
Shelley and Lawrence, grandchildren Justin, Jennifer, Bradley, Lauren
and Jessica, great grandchildren Alex, Zachery, Chloe, Mavrik, Adaline,
and Dash.  

Barbara was an extraordinary woman. After a career of buying and
selling businesses and traveling the world, she devoted over a decade of
her life to bringing smiles and joy to hundreds of thousands of very sick
children across America, helping build a national charity. She also
worked with the toy industry, building the nation’s largest network
providing free books and toys to abandoned, abused and hospitalized
children. She was well-known as being a shining light when darkness
was near for those less fortunate. 

In keeping with her zest for life, her last chapter was not to be wasted.
She wrote her memoir and became a well-known author of her book,
Reflections of Liberty. This acclaimed book can be found in countless
history museums and libraries across America. Her wealth of knowledge
was inspirational and contagious to many. 
May God rest her soul with no more pain, just the joys of reuniting with
family and friends above. 

A graveside funeral was held at Beth Moses Cemetery in Long Island,
NY August 23, 2023 (Were she was reunited with her Husband David,
Father Solomon and Mother Nettie.)
