Armand A. Cardoso, MD, 85, passed away Thursday, March 31, 2011. Dr. Cardoso was a native of Tampa. After graduating from Hillsborough High School, he served with the U.S. Navy during WWII, and later obtained his BS degree at the University of Tampa. He then attended medical school at the University of Havana. Dr. Cardoso had a successful family practice in Tampa for over 30 years, and was beloved by his many friends and patients. Survivors include his loving wife of 57 years, Daisy Cardoso, two sons, Jerry Dean Cardoso and Ted J. Cardoso, MD, sister, Ida Perez, daughter-in-law, Tricia Cardoso, and grandchildren, Alex and Nicole Cardoso. A funeral mass for the repose of his soul will take place at 6:00p.m. Thursday evening, April 7, 2011, at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church with Father Thomas Stokes officiating. In lieu of flowers the family would appreciate it if friends would take a moment to offer prayers.
