Anne Sheer Weiner

WEINER, Anne Sheer, 56, of Tampa, passed away on August 15, 2022. Anne was born in Tampa to Allen and Gloria Sheer. Anne attended Mercer Law School in Georgia. After graduation from Law School, Anne accepted an appointment with the Florida Department of Legal Affairs, Office of the Attorney General.  She accepted an appointment in the Criminal Appeals Division appearing in the intermediate state appellate courts and the Supreme Court of the State of Florida.  Anne litigated in the United Staters District Court and the Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals. She was a member of the Supreme Court of the United States of America.  She was a recognized appellate litigator until Alzheimer’s Disease forced her retirement.  She faced this disease with the same courage she demonstrated in the state and federal courts. Anne is survived by her father, Allen Sheer, son, Max Weiner, daughter Sarah Weiner, sister, Susan Sheer Curry, brother, Jamie Sheer, two nieces, Kelsey and Morgan Sheer, and nephew, Jack Sheer. A graveside service will take place on Wednesday, August 17th, 10:00 AM, at Schaarai Zedek cemetery. (see zoom info below)
