Albert Goldsmith

GOLDSMITH, Albert Leonard, age 88 of Tampa and Ventnor, NJ, died Friday, December 9, 2011. Mr. Goldsmith was born in Philadelphia, PA, lived in Cherry Hill, NJ and came to Tampa six years ago from Lake Worth where he had resided since 1992. He did his undergraduate studies at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and earned his masters degree at Villanova University where he later served on the faculty. He was an aerospace engineer with RCA in Princeton, NJ for 33 years and, after RCA's acquisition by GE, he continued to serve as a consultant. He was a member of Congregation Kol Ami. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 56 years, Ethel and his daughter-in-law, Judi. Survivors include his son, Geoffrey Goldsmith of Ventnor, NJ, daughter and son-in-law, Lisa & Gary Teblum of Tampa, brother and sister-in-law, Stanley & Doris Goldsmith of Margate, NJ and cherished grandchildren, Corey & Jeremy and his nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Monday, 2:30 PM at Congregation Kol Ami, 3919 Moran Road, Tampa. Interment will follow at Gan Shalom Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Endowment Fund at Congregation Kol Ami or Lifepath Hospice.
