GREENE, Adele, age 94 of Tampa died, Saturday, January 3, 2015 in Durant, Oklahoma.

She was a longtime Tampa resident of more than 70 years. Graduate of Rutgers University, Retired from the Florida Department of Children and Family Services. She was a past president of B'nai B'rith Woman's Association. A member of Congregation Rodeph Sholom of Tampa. Daughter of Dr. Max and Sally Stern, survived by sister Mrs. Cuchie Weissman of St Petersburg, FL. Preceded by son Barry Greene, survived by loving children Dr. Stuart Greene of Temple, TX and Barbara Hoffmann. Her six grandchildren, Rachael Estrada of Nokomis, FL, Michael Bellman of Columbia, MO, Leanne, Danielle, and Harrison Greene of Austin, TX, and Erin Greene from NYC, NY. and four great grandchildren.She loved animals and a longtime holder of yearly passes to Busch Gardens. Her hobbies included collecting coins, stamps, with rather extensive post card and shell collections. She enjoyed sailing, needle point and browsing antiques. Graveside services will be held Friday, 1:00 PM at Beth Israel Cemetery.
